Bas Swaen

Bas leads the Scribbr team, which helps students achieve academic writing success through a combination of writing-based content, tools, and services. The son of two educators, Bas realized he was fortunate to have had academic support at home when his Cofounder Koen sought an English-speaking proofreader for his thesis. The pair cofounded Scribbr in 2012 and set out to help anyone become a better academic writer. Bas graduated from Tilburg University with a BSc in Fiscal Economics and Business Administration and an MSc in Finance.
